Job Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will prepare, review, negotiate, and administer
contracts and purchase orders .
Comparable Positions:
Marketing Specialist
Minimum Education Level:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
required.
Minimum Experience Level:
• Three years of relevant experience required.
• Experience of residential and/or commercial/residential (Preferred)
• Construction experience (Preferred)
Amount of Supervision:
Will be given general direction from the procurement manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Reviews cost proposals and pricing information.
• Prepares and administers contracts and purchase orders with specific vendors.
• Compares bids from vendors and determines, or assists with determination, to
whom contracts will be awarded.
• Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
• Evaluates vendor proposals to ensure that all requirements are met.
• Confirms that terms and delivery dates are accurate.
• Evaluates competence of vendors and reviews their invoices for accuracy.
• Maintains database regarding vendors’ performance and quality of product(s).
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Extensive knowledge of contract principles and procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent administrative skills.
• Excellent written and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Work Environment:
This job operates in office and site environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as
computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to complete various activities in the warehouse that may require hours of lifting, standing, and
carrying.
• Must be able to move up to 25 Kg at a time.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8 a.m. to 5
p.m.
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel:
This position does not require travel.
